This series started with five trips to India, but it’s about much more than flights and destinations. But as I shared in that first post, it’s not the flights that inspire me; it’s the work we do, the people we build with, and the real value we unlock together.
This series hasn’t been about airports, stamps, or status points. It’s been about what happens when you back yourself to do meaningful work, at scale, across cultures, borders, and systems.
It’s about what happens when you step out of the safety of a corporate identity and choose to back yourself.
Leaving the comfort of a big-name title within a big global corporate bubble, and a regular salary, to build something of your own is terrifying. No more automatic validation. No more protective umbrella. Just you, your values, your voice; and your belief that you can create something meaningful.
It’s a vulnerable, disorienting road at first.
But what I’ve found on the other side is exponential;
· Exponential freedom,
· Exponential impact, and
· Exponential value.
Not just for clients, but for the people delivering the strategy; the unsung teams turning vision into execution. The communities, stakeholders, and investors who benefit from resilient, scalable, human-centred delivery.
These days, I sit alongside multiple executives navigating global pivots. I work with delivery teams rebuilding trust. I help build capability where it didn’t exist. And I’ve done it without needing to fit someone else’s mould.
I’ve also been on the other side, as the executive trying to hold it all together. Trying to create legacy during constant change, fighting for alignment, for voice, for support. That experience fuels everything I do now.
This work isn’t always easy. But it’s deeply rewarding. I get to partner in real, strategic, visionary change, and help transform the lives of those tasked with delivering it. That’s a privilege I’ll never take lightly.
